DETOXIFYING REACTIONS OF THE ORGANISM
Toxins present in the surrounding environment are part of our life. They are present in the air we breathe, in the water and other liquids we drink, in food, and they are also produced by the body through biochemical processes. The organism employs various systems of detoxification; nevertheless it may happen that, after many years off intensive living, especially if characterized by improper nutrition, the defensive reactions of the organism are not by themselves sufficient to remove toxins.
The so-called Jarish-Herxheimer reaction (RJH) is the most extreme response of our organism to the release of toxins.
It is the short-lived, harmless “poisoning” of the organism with toxic substances caused by the mass dying-out of harmful micro-organisms, mostly pathogenic fungi and intestinal parasites.
The most common symptoms of RJH are fever, temporary headaches, shivering, muscular and bone pains, rashes, rhinitis, coughing, sometimes excessive perspiration, drowsiness, hypersensitivity to smells and sounds, slight dizziness, slight irritation, day-long sleeping problems, constipation or diarrhoea, flatulence, general weakness, palpitation, dizziness, and minor change in colour of urine.
These symptoms may change quite fast and usually they fade away after 2-3 days or – most often – they never occur at all. The symptoms of RJH indicate that the organism is on its way to detoxification and health.
Not everyone experiences direct detoxifying reactions, despite visible symptoms of improvement in their general health – no matter for how many days they have been taking the Colon Pack.
